SugarCRM Winter ’20 Release Highlights
In the CRM world, few events generate as much excitement and industry buzz as a new SugarCRM update. It’s not difficult to understand why, either. Every seasonal SugarCRM release is packed with new features, upgrades, and functionality aimed at improving the overall customer experience.
The Winter 2020 release is a huge upgrade, even by SugarCRM standards. Let’s take a look at some of the key improvements.
Sugar Market Can Now Screen For Bots
Tired of automated entities — AKA bots — filling up your sales pipeline with useless leads? Sugar’s developers are, too. That’s why they’ve dramatically improved their bot-detection algorithms, which can now automatically identify and remove these fake interactions from the sales pipeline. Without those misleading clicks, marketers can fully focus their efforts (and their budgets) on engaging with actual human beings.
Sugar Sell Adds Some Very Useful Subscription And Renewal Features
One of the biggest ongoing headaches in Sugar Sell has been the lack of support for limited-term items like annual service contracts and monthly subscriptions. It was possible to add this functionality through customization, but this was often prohibitively expensive. With the release of the Winter 2020 update, this must-have feature is now available to everyone. Better yet, subscriptions and service contracts can now be added to opportunities and quotes with just one click.
Another useful new feature in Sugar Sell is the addition of automated renewals. When an opportunity that contains a renewal service is closed, Sugar will automatically generate a new opportunity for the renewal. This not only streamlines the renewal process, but it also creates a self-populating renewal pipeline. This means no more wasted time manually re-entering renewal data.
The Winter 2020 update also adds a new dashlet for tracking active subscriptions. This tool makes it easy to see all of the products a customer is currently subscribed to, as well as the subscription duration and the start/end dates.
Bringing all of these new features together is Sugar Sell’s new Renewals Console, a dedicated interface for subscription-based and recurring-revenue businesses. This powerful dashboard allows users to quickly see the status of the renewal pipeline, track renewal opportunities, and actively manage customer accounts.
Sugar Serve Adds First Response SLA Tools
If you want to keep your customers coming back, it’s absolutely essential to meet your SLA requirements. With the Winter 2020 update, Sugar Serve now provides new functionality to monitor and analyze SLA metrics. These tools are designed to help you quickly identify and resolve problems, making it much easier to ensure that customer SLA requirements are met. The update also includes new agent time-tracking tools, new customization options, and more than a dozen new custom reports.
Tons Of Improvements And Enhancements
As with every SugarCRM update, the Winter 2020 release includes hundreds of small upgrades, refinements, and new features. We couldn’t hope to cover it all within the scope of this blog post, but Sugar has been kind enough to post a complete overview on their website.
