According to Forbes who published a recent survey by technology research firm CSO Insights, 80% of CRM users say the technology has failed to help them grow sales. 80%? Seems quite high considering the CRM industry saw $20 billion in software spending in 2013, and is projected to hit astronomical growth numbers in the near future.
We’ve done hundreds of successful CRM implementations, and like Forrester states, one of the most overwhelming reasons we’ve found that CRM implementations fail is User Adoption. If your sales reps, or employees, that are championed with using the software do not have a clear reason to use it, or an organized usage plan coming from the top down, then it shouldn’t come as a surprise that so many people are blaming the technology.
