I was doing some research today on SugarCRM tricks and couldn’t help but notice the repetition of the phrase, “In the palm of your hand.”

How many times have you heard about a product that fulfills your every need, all in palm of your hand?

Healthcare! In the palm of your hand. Commerce! In the palm of your hand. A day spa! In the palm of your hand.

What lead me to this arcane thought was reading up on the power of SugarCRM mobile, which oddly enough gives you The Power of SugarCRM in the Palm of Your Hand.

I am happy to report that yes, SugarCRM does have a few tricks up its technological sleeve, with a comprehensive SugarCRM Mobile application. With SugarCRM Mobile, you can connect with customers anywhere, anytime, say it with me now…in the palm of your hand.

Many of you may be familiar with the user benefits of SugarCRM Mobile, but as I was learning more about this portable product, I wanted to highlight what I think are some valuable SugarCRM tricks that can be utilized with SugarCRM Mobile:

Android Platform

•Sugar 7: Sugar 7 is now supported for use with SugarCRM Mobile.
•Multiple invitees for calls and meetings: The option to add multiple invitees is now available when creating a call or meeting.
•Image upload from mobile devices: User’s now have the ability to take a picture or upload an existing image from their mobile device to attach to records.
•Send Invite option for calls and meetings: The option to send email invites to attendees is now available when creating a call or meeting.
•Record file names: Tapping the File icon to view images, PDFs, etc. will now display appropriate file names (e.g. Document 1, Document 2, etc.) instead of the system ID.

iPhone Platform

•Sugar 7: Sugar 7 is now supported for use with SugarCRM Mobile.
•Native Device Integration: Users have the ability to initiate calls, emails, and texts from Sugar records, log calls and emails, map record addresses, and visit record websites.
•Full Text Search: Searching across all enabled fields in SugarCRM Mobile happens automatically for instances utilizing full text search.
•Internationalization: All languages available by default in Sugar are available for use in SugarCRM Mobile with the exception of right-to-left languages.
•Relevant Home Page: Users’ upcoming meetings and all recently modified records appear automatically on their Home page.
•My Records and Favorites: Users can filter to quickly access their assigned records and favorites as well as reassign records and designate favorites as they work.
•Send Invite option for calls and meetings: The option to send email invites to attendees is now available when creating a call or meeting.
