Why You Should Upgrade To SugarCRM 6.4


As part of your SugarCRM purchase you are entitled to receive customer support directly through the SugarCRM customer Support Portal.

We would like to remind you that the end-of-support date for the 6.0.x versions of the SugarCRM products was January 31, 2012.

As of January 31, 2012, SugarCRM no longer provides customer support, additional maintenance patches or bug fixes for Sugar 6.0.x.

This end-of-support date applies to the 6.0.x versions of Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional, along with the Sugar plug-ins and extensions of the same versions.

How does this impact you?
The 6.0.x versions of the SugarCRM products can be run beyond January 31, 2012. However, support and development are no longer provided by SugarCRM for the 6.0.x versions. We strongly recommend that customers running the 6.0.x or earlier versions of Sugar upgrade to the latest version, which is 6.4.x.

Sugar 6.4.x contains new features and enhancements, including the following:

  • Easy importing of Google and LinkedIn contacts
  • New Sugar Cloud Connectors
    • View and import 3rd-party data from Hoover’s and InsideView
    • Access files on and upload files to Google Docs and LotusLive
    • Manange Gotomeeting, Webex and LotusLive meetings

  • Sugar Mobile for iPhone and Android devices
  • Sugar Mobile Plus for iPhone and Blackberry
  • Advanced customizations through Sugar Logic
  • Advanced configurations using Module Builder and Studio
  • Enhanced Web Services
  • Improved performance and scalability
  • Improved stability

How to upgrade to Sugar 6.4.x?
You can find the Sugar 6.4.x files and the latest versions of the Sugar plug-ins and extensions within the Support Portal. After the files are downloaded, they can be applied using the Upgrade Wizard in the Administration page in the Sugar application.
