Sage Strategy for Supporting Older Versions of Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200
There have been a lot of questions about how long Sage will continue to support older versions of MAS 90 and MAS 200. They recently reported the following update to their policies:
- Sage MAS 90 and 200 currently support the current version (v4.3) and five back (v4.2, 4.1, 4.05, 4.0, and 3.71)
- Sage MAS 500 supports the current version and four back (n-4)
Over the next two years, Sage will scale back the number of supported Sage MAS versions.
- Sage MAS 90 and 200 will move to an N-3 version support policy (v4.3, 4.2, 4.1, and 4.05) by the end of 2011, with version 3.71 support ending on September 30, 2010
- Sage MAS 500 will move to an N-2 version support policy, with versions 6.3 and 7.0 support ending on September 30, 2010
MAS 90 and MAS 200 Version 4.4 is scheduled to be released in February 2010.
